Plants and Cultures – Fermentation Foundations

  • The Cosmos Cabin 131 Anambah Road Anambah, NSW, 2320 Australia (map)

Step into the world of traditional fermentation in this immersive, hands on workshop. Guided by the rhythm of the seasons and the wisdom of the land, you’ll learn how to create nourishing ferments using fresh, local, and foraged ingredients.

Craft vibrant jars of living vegetables and wild sodas, full of character, flavour, and life. You’ll leave not only with your own handmade creations, but with the confidence and knowledge to continue fermenting at home, intuitively and with the seasons.

Held within the earthy surrounds of Purple Pear Farm, Plants and Cultures invites you to slow down, connect with the alchemy of microbes, and rediscover the ancient art of preservation for wellbeing and everyday vitality.

Make a day of it by joining the morning session with Blackwood Apothecary (10am to 12pm), also at the Cosmos Studio, to explore the art of the home apothecary before diving into an afternoon of fermentation and flavour.
