Event Liability Waiver
and Release Agreement
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT. BY PURCHASING A TICKET OR ATTENDING THE EVENT, YOU WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.
1. Acknowledgment of Risks
The undersigned Attendee (or the parent/guardian of a minor Attendee) acknowledges and agrees that attendance at The 3 Rivers Hinterland Treasure Trail on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December 2025 involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to:
Physical injury, illness, or death resulting from crowd movements, slips, falls, contact with other attendees, equipment failure, or adverse weather conditions.
Risk of property damage, theft, or loss of personal belongings.
Risks associated with the consumption of food, beverages, and authorised substances at the Event.
Risks associated with participation in bookable experiences.
The Attendee willingly assumes all such risks, known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties (as defined below).
2. Release of Claims and Covenant Not to Sue
The Attendee, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue The 3 Rivers Hinterland Treasure Trail, its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, sponsors, and venue owners (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, claim, demand, action, or cause of action whatsoever arising out of or related to their attendance at the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
This release includes, but is not limited to, claims for:
a) Personal injury or death.
b) Property damage, theft, or loss.
c) Any claim related to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease.
3. Indemnification
The Attendee agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, expenses, demands, and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to the Attendee’s negligent, willful, or intentional acts or omissions while at the Event.
4. Medical Treatment Consent (If Applicable)
The Attendee grants the Organiser and its agents permission to authorise and secure medical treatment for the Attendee if the Organiser deems such treatment necessary. The Attendee agrees to be fully responsible for all costs of such medical treatment.
BY PURCHASING A TICKET OR ATTENDING The 3 Rivers Hinterland Treasure Trail, THE ATTENDEE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ THIS WAIVER, UNDERSTAND ALL ITS TERMS, AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
