Craft and Creativity Trail

For the makers, creators, and daydreamers, this weekend celebrates craft, creativity, and the joy of handmade things. Prepare for a weekend of beautiful scents, textures, and festive cheer.

Saturday 6 December: Scented treasures and wreaths

Saturday is dedicated to tactile creativity, blending natural elements into beautiful creations.

  • Begin your morning blending scents, colours, and natural ingredients to make gifts that nourish body and soul.

  • Visit Gumnut Valley Alpacas, and wander to this fragrant, sensory workshop presented by Wine Country Lavender, where you’ll craft small treasures with pure lavender essential oil.

  • Join Urban Connection in the afternoon, where creativity meets celebration as you weave native foliage and festive cheer into a beautiful wreath for your home, all while savouring local flavours.

Sunday 7 December: Expression, reflection and final blooms

Sunday provides a joyful space for self expression, quiet reflection, and a colourful conclusion.

  • Continue to a creative, hands on weaving, story sharing and connection session inviting you to slow down, play, and reconnect through art and nature. Presented by Spiral Sisters at In Our Hands Family Farm.

  • Drop into Fosterton Retreat for this quiet hour of sketching and reflection surrounded by the sights, sounds, and stillness of the bush.

  • On your way to your next stop, be sure to stop in at Woodville Hall to see a variety of local artists displaying their work, including Bernadette Meyers Art.

  • Bring your weekend to a peaceful close at Hunter Valley Sunflowers to pick your own blooms, enjoy tractor hayrides, visit the petting zoo, and capture a final family portrait or Santa photo among the flowers.
