Pack up the family and head out for a weekend of farm-fresh fun, furry friends, and creative adventures! This itinerary is designed for families, offering a playful mix of outdoor activities, animal encounters, and hands-on making.

Saturday 6 December: From Harvest to Hands On

Your fun starts early on Saturday morning with an opportunity for little hands to get busy.

• 8:30 to 9:30 am | Morning Harvest at In Our Hands Family Farm

  The day begins with connecting to the land as you help pick fresh produce straight from the garden beds. Parents, be sure to grab an iced coffee from The Committed Coffee Co. on-site to fuel up for the busy day ahead!

  $55 per car for harvest tour. Pay for purchases you might make while you are there.

• 10:00 to 11:00 am | Picnic with Alpacas at Gumnut Valley Alpacas

  Next, make your way to meet some gentle, curious creatures. Enjoy morning tea on the grass while you get acquainted with the alpacas – a charming experience for the whole family.

• Midday Play | The Dirty Gardener

  Throughout the middle of the day, you can let the kids run free at The Dirty Gardener. Children can happily dig and play at the sandpit play area, do a craft activity and cuddle friendly animals at the petting zoo.

• 1 to to 1:45 pm | Fragrant Felt Workshop with Three Muscats Fibre

  After lunch, pop back into Gumnut Valley Alpacas for an engaging workshop. Kids can roll, squeeze, and shape their own colorful felt ball diffusers using soft local wool to create a sweet-smelling keepsake.

Sunday 7 December: Makers, Mindfulness and Alpaca Friends

The creative adventures continue on Sunday with a focus on crafts and nature.

• 10am | Soap and Bath Salt Creations Class at Happy Ever After Coffee

  Budding makers will love joining this class to craft their own sweet-scented soap and bath salt keepsakes to take home.

  Continue north to enjoy a quiet, meditative walk – a peaceful lull in the middle of the day’s laughter, learning, and connection.

  Head back to Gumnut Valley Alpacas for a perfect stop for young animal lovers. You can enjoy a sausage sizzle for lunch and take part in a variety of activities:
